Metro Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center Look A Like and leading health care provider of choice for primary care to DC residents, is seeking volunteer leaders to join its dynamic Board of Directors.
Patient Board members are expected to be current patients in active care at Metro Health. Overall, Board members are actively involved in organizational governance, expected to attend monthly board meetings, participate in at least one board committee, make a personal financial contribution or raise at least $500 annually, or manage at least three donor or community partner relationships.
The board needs a variety of skills, with a strong emphasis on board candidates with accounting, human resource, legal, philanthropy and media expertise. Most importantly, we are seeking community stakeholders and leaders who understand the communities that we serve and can effectively represent their interests in a non-biased and communal manner.
