What is telepsychiatry?
Telepsychiatry is the delivery of psychiatric services utilizing a HIPAA-compliant, secure, simple-to-use technology. It’s just like seeing a doctor face-to-face, the only difference is the clinician is connecting via this technology.
What are the benefits of telepsychiatry?
Because we have decided to utilize telepsychiatry, we are able to provide you with faster access to a psychiatric clinician and are able to reduce our patient wait times for appointments.
What should patients expect?
You will still come in to our office for your appointment, just like you would for any other appointment. You will be taken to our telepsychiatry room where the clinician will be waiting for you on the video screen. The goal is that this should feel just like they are physically in the room with you and you will see the same clinician at every appointment.
